The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce hosts multiple events each year. We have worked with the GNCC to provide live social media coverage for The State of the City, The State of the Region, The Niagara Economic Summit, The Niagara Business Achievement Awards, The Women in Business Awards, International Women’s Day and Winspiration events.
For the last five St. Catharines State of the City addresses have trended on Twitter in the top three in Canada during the event and in the top 10 for the next 3 days. The Niagara Economic Summit trended on Twitter in the top 5 for the full day long summit.On Twitter between Feb 13th and Feb 16th, #StateofSTC reached 63,849 accounts and had 286,648 impressions.
Working with the GNCC’s event planner Corrina Massicotte we have developed the event #hashtags, digital strategy and the approach for the event coverage.
The key to successful live event coverage is a unique #hashtag that is memorable and most importantly easy to type. Ensuring that the #hashtag is featured on all print and digital materials and signage at the events is essential to
make sure attendees know what it is and use it.
